IEC Strategy for Improvement Waste Segregation

 

Client : CMC, Chikkaballapura
Scope of work :
  • Distribution of Handbills for waste segregation to Households, Shops, Hotels, Office, Samudaya Bhavan, Choultry etc.
  • Train the Pourakarmikas/waste pickers, bulk waste generators on waste segregation
  • Train the Training of Trainer (ToT), Training of Waste generators etc. – Health workers – Asha & Anganwadi
  • Conduct the school /college level competitions for students on waste segregation and Ratings for school/colleges. Awareness programs on Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
  • Train all pourakarmikas for handling of good quality of compost at landfill site.
  • Ward Meeting conducting for Waste Segregation to Local Leaders, CBO’s, Representatives, Local Residents. Federation and SHG’s Representatives and Members
  • Selection of min. 10 active teachers as master trainers on waste segregation.
  • Schools / College Jatha, Shramadhaana conducting for all the 31 wards of Chikkaballapura
  • After completion of all tasks finally organize the “City Compost Santae” in Chikkaballapur
  • Awareness should be given Swachh Survekshan – 2020

Key achievements : Successfully completed  SWM IEC Work. During Swachh Survekshan – 2020, Chikkaballapur city rated No. 9 among the ULBs of Karnataka.
Project Status : Project completed successfully. Bill & Final Report submitted. 80% payment received.
